Muvix respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and rights holders. This disclaimer explains the nature of our service and how we handle copyright concerns.
Nature of the Service
Muvix is a search and aggregation tool. The application does not host, upload, store, or transmit any movies, TV shows, or video files on its own servers or within the application package.
When you select content to watch, the video streams directly from a third-party hosting server. Muvix has no control over, and does not store copies of, the content served by these external hosts.
Content Reporting System
Muvix includes a built-in reporting feature. Users can flag broken, misleading, or problematic content directly within the app. When content receives multiple verified reports, it is automatically blocked from search results and browse listings for all users.
Blocked content entries expire after 30 days, after which they may be re-evaluated if the underlying source has been fixed.
DMCA Takedown Requests
If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe a link in Muvix infringes your rights, submit a formal DMCA notice to legal@muvix.org or through our Contact page.
Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The specific URL or content identifier within Muvix to be removed
- Your contact information (name, email, organization if applicable)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will promptly remove the specified link from our index.
Counter-Notifications
If you believe your content was incorrectly removed, you may submit a counter-notification. It must include your identification, the content that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was mistaken, and your consent to jurisdiction. Valid counter-notifications will be reviewed, and content may be restored.
Safe Harbor
Muvix seeks to benefit from the safe harbor provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง 512) and equivalent international laws. As a linking service rather than a hosting service, we respond expeditiously to valid takedown notices.
User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of content accessed through Muvix complies with the laws of their jurisdiction. Muvix does not encourage or facilitate copyright infringement. We encourage users to support creators through official and licensed channels whenever possible.
